The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer ~ Edward R. Murrow

hello everybody, sorry i didn't write for so long...it has been...months. i did have to study really hard for my exams in july, since i was in a bad mood the last semester and did not go to many courses...but today i got the results of the exams and i was really good...life is kind of ironic. anyways, the summer has been nice so far, i spent some weeks at the sea, but then my sister had to have an emergency operation, and that was quite stressful. shes fine now, home again and i'm her slave cause she cannot walk. so last week i started to paint with ink (and no, i bought some ink in the supermaket and did not use my nice japanese ink)...sumi-e. i experimented a bit with styles...so all you sumi-e masters, please avert your eyes now or you will be blinded.

this is the first one...it is very modern...and i used to much ink on the face.

those are some plum blossoms...well, they were, in the beginning...

this one is actually a copy of a painting i found on flickr...the original is really expressive, and the painter really knew what he was doing, anyway, you should check him out (meaning he's an awesome artist :P) at http://www.flickr.com/photos/sumi-e/sets/72157594381169650

First i wanted to write her quote:“I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.” But then i thought i already have the "alice-me so sad" picture...lets write one of her more happy quotes. Anyways, i love her.
