Elisabeth the Snake Dundee

It is one of my pleasures to spend my leisure by sitting motionless near our pond, watching all the amphibians who live there. But yesterday, i discoverd a most unwelcome guest. We quite have a history, the grass snake and i. For i am the snake hunter. I detest them, beside's i really cannot tolerate that the eat all my beloved toads, frogs and newts. So i wait out in the noonday sun, waiting for the grass snake to come out of the water and rest herself on one of the water lilies leaves, and than i catch her with my tubular! But because the grass snake is protected by law in germany, i have to put it in a bucket and release it near the next lake. And that is the trouble, i'm terrified of the snake so i could never put it out of the tubular into the bucket...i will have to wait until my father gets here...what a snake huter i am...a great one indeed.

We love life, not because we are used to living but because we are used to loving~ Friedrich Nietzsche

I had the pleasure to attend a wedding today, and meet with some old friends. All was well, the bride looked happy, the vows were touching and the wedding cake was delicious (and that was for me the most important thing at all).

well, and now some poem as i'm quite emotional at the moment (those weddings bring out always the worst of me :))

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

i got myself poisoned

Ah...i accidentally poisoned myself yesterday.....silly me! I went into the basement yesterday evening in search of a good drink. All i found was a carton of holunderbeer juice. I thought myself lucky, cause i love holunderbeer stuff (you can make also soup out of the berrys, you find them everywhere in the countryside). Because it was malicious disguised as a juice, i did not wonder why it tasted so abhorrent and bitter. Well, some hours later i got stomach cramps, had to repeadingly throw up and felt really unwell the whole night. The holuder is poisonous if not cooked. well, and what did this experience teach me? Never judge a book by it's cover.

It was a soft, reposeful summer landscape, as lovely as a dream, and as lonesome as Sunday~ Mark Twain

I had a really quiet, lonesome day today...i love it when i have the time to relax and enjoy what i'm doing. When everything you do you can do unhasty, deliberate and sensible. You get the feeling that you can grasp time.

I sewed some sachets today, filled with lavender.

And some more flower clips.

and finally a picture of my new shoes :)

So what, you're just going to repress everything in some deep, dark, twisted place until one day you snap and you kill them?

How do you know when how much is too much? Too much too soon. Too much information. Too much to ask... And when is it all just too much to bear?
Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers, you just breath deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed but sometimes the pain gets you where you least expect it. Hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it and life always makes more.

No one else will travel through the shadows with me, only you, evergreen, ever sun, ever moon~ Neruda

i created some mobile today for my new room...i think you could call it's style...orient kitsch...but it makes me happy :)

It's designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything is new again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains comes, it stops, and leaves you to face the fall alone
~Bartlett Giamatti

ah....my feelings those days are hard to describe....i mean, if i have some (sometimes i just feel like a lifeless doll) but this song describes it pretty good...i'm just in the middle of somethig, so what is this, one step back or foreward?

I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
Out of mind, out of state.
Trying to keep my head on straight.
I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
There's only one thing left to do.
Drop all I have and go with you.

[Chorus:]
Somewhere back there I left my worries all behind.
My problems fell out of the back of my mind.
We're going and I'm never knowing (never knowing) where we're going.
To go back to where I was would just be wrong.
I'm pressing on.Pressing on, all my distress is going, going, gone.
(pressing on, pressing on)
And I won't sit back, and take this anymore.
'Cause I'm done with that, I've got one foot out the door.
And to go back where I was would just be wrong
I'm pressing on.

I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
Out of mind, out of state.
Trying to keep my head on straight.
I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
Adversity, we get around it.
Searched for joy, in you I found it.
You look down on me, but you don't look down on me at all.
You smile and laugh, and I feel the love you have for me.
I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here, and we're gonna make it after all.

Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets ~ Arthur Miller

ahhh......this is terrible......and good! 2 weeks ago i got the news from my brother that i will have a new roommate....some boy, 19 years old (a child!), who like to drink and be on pictures with blondes which i would love to buy some clothes so they dont have to be that naked. "great" i thought...well, yeah, i thought terrible....finally i even have to talk to one of those guys i frankly always despised in high school! But what shall i say, i'm young and i need the money. Today i got the glorious news that "beach boy" does not want to move in anymore, but want's to live with one of those blonds. First i was pretty confused and paniced a bit, considering that i was just 1 week more in Nuernberg, and next time i would be at my flat would be in october. But thinking about it, it's great, now i can still have hope for a nice, normal, female roommate! Let see who's answering the ad!

If you hold on to the handle, she said, it's easier to maintain the illusion of control. But it's more fun if you just let the wind carry you~B. Adams

Ah....the clock is ticking, today in a fortnigth is my big medicine-law-politics exame...and i´m really doing anything but studying. yes, i´m a layabout! Shame on me! Yeasterday i tried to study...a total disaster. I got up at 9am...then i just wanted to watch some tv...the news...just to know whats going on in the world...2 hours later after some episodes of scroubs, i decided to go window shopping...after 3 hours in the city, a friendly looking women aproched me if i would like to answer her some questions for market research ...of couse i answered, it is not that i would be in a hurry. 1 hour later i went back home and decided to redecorate my little bedstand ...2 hours later, it was already 5 pm, i settled on watching some star treck...then to read a bit...then on watching "cold case" with my roomie...the watching the thunder storm...the at 12 to watch emergency room...and the to sleep. I really earned a bit of rest after a day of hard work.

Those are 2 pics of my zoo visit last weekend with my cousins.
